EDM stands for "electrical discharge machining" which means it
"machines" conductive materials using high power current in a very local
area to vaporize the material. EDM is an extremely accurate manufacturing
process able to hold tolerances as close as .0001".
Rotary Axis EDM Burn. The copper piece shown
was the electrode used to burn a radial pocket through the
aluminum part.
Our machining services include high speed and micro machining. We have
the capability of 80,000 RPM spindle speeds and 1200 IPM feedrates. This
means we can achieve high speeds with small tooling. We also have the
standard array of equipment to perform the more "everyday" machining also.
